The International Law Association Canada (ILA-Canada) is pleased to partner with International Inter-tribal Trade and Investment Organization (IITIO) and the University of Victoria to present this webinar, A Global Exchange on International Law and Indigenous Trade: Indigenous Peoples Economic and Trade Cooperation Arrangement (IPETCA).

The Indigenous Peoples Economic and Trade Cooperation Arrangement (IPETCA) was negotiated two years ago and all IPETCA member economies have officially endorsed its domestic implementation.  As implementation of IPETCA commences, this panel exams the challenges and opportunities from perspectives of both IPETCA member economies and regional Indigenous communities.

Panellists from Canada, U.S.A., Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand will discuss aspects of inclusive trade, types of economic activities, resource extraction, sustainable investment and development, cultural exchange, and environmental stewardship.
