Mark Jewett has an LLB from the University of New Brunswick and Cambridge University. He has extensive legal experience in financial services and public law. He has held several senior positions in private and public sector over the course of his career. He was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Bank of Canada and currently works at Bennett Jones. In 2009 he acted as Secretary to the G-20 Working Group on Enhancing Sound Regulation and Strengthening Transparency in the Financial Sector, and is currently a Special Advisor to the Justice and Finance Departments on Banking and Financial Institutions Law. He has given lectures at Harvard, Cornell and Cambridge among other university and institutions.
